OUR STORY
Welcome to the Iowa City chapter of Silent Book Club!
Our group hosts monthly meetups for silent reading and often provides non-silent events to build community. Our chapter started out in October of 2023 with just a few people cramped together in a corner of Java House. Little did we know that it would grow into the thriving group it is today.
Our proverbial door is always open to new members and we invite anyone and everyone to join at any time! We always say if you're interested in coming to an event, consider yourself a member of the club :)

Hi there! I'm a fourth-year Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Iowa in the Spanish Department, pursuing a degree in Spanish literature. I'm originally from Massachusetts and starting the Iowa City Chapter of Silent Book Club has been the best decision I've made since moving here in 2019 :)

Outside of book club, I enjoy knitting and crocheting, cuddling with my cat, Twill, listening to podcasts, obsessing over Twin Peaks, and going on little adventures with my fiancé <3
